Our BSc Computing Science degree focuses on software development and algorithms, with the aim of constructing robust and usable systems for industry and commerce.

Students will be able to specialise by taking courses in one of the following three streams: Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or Graphics and Visualisation.

Year 1 for the academic year of 2021/22

I chose to study Computing Science with Heriot-Watt because of its Scholarship programme. The programme sounds cool and has a bright career prospect. While there are challenges in some of the modules, the friendly lecturers and good feedback system makes the programme enjoyable and fun.

Year 1 for the academic year of 2021/22

I chose to study Computing Science with Heriot-Watt because of the (3) things. They are -classes, system, and activities. The system is easy to use, while the classes and activities are fun and interactive. My favourite but the most challenging part of this course is to develop a programme that works smoothly and expectedly.

My favourite part about this programme is the interaction with my course mates. I think that studying Computing Science programme will be beneficial to my career and will open opportunities that align with my interests, which is key for keeping me motivated. Our lecturers are helpful and approachable as they genuinely care about our well-being and their lectures are always engaging and fun.
